Hey guys, im having trouble distinguishing between the REAL DEAL JDM headlamps Vs Ricks Clear Diffusers. Is there anyway someone can post up the pictures between the 2. I would love the look of the clear headlamp but, i don't have $8-900 to spend. Please chime in.

 

I thought they were the same? Doesnt ricks have a clear and a smoked?

 

There is a few differances that you can see. The Chromed projectors on the MY02+ JDM housing is one, and the light pattern is the other. ----\___-----\____ = JDM, ____/-----____/----- = USDM for the beam pattern.

02+ JDM has the chrome around the projector.

As far as the diffuser, the Rick's is the same if you get JDM style. It has a lot of thin lines. The USDM cleared diffuser is like the stock one, but clear - fewer vertical lines.

 

Not all JDM AP1 headlights have the chrome housing... some have the black housing with the clear diffuser. Both JDM (chrome and black housing) have the 'city light' hole in the housing... correct me if im wrong.

hmmm....i believe my car has the rick's clear jdm diffuser, but i am not sure....my car had these headlights when i bought it, so i dunno

 

What hes showing is the beam of the headlight. When you turn your HIDs on take a look at the top of the light beam and you will see that they look like this ___/ ___/ , the JDMs are reversed.

 

yeah, if you look at your hid pattern on a garage door it should show ___/ ___/
