Default Pics of 04 front end conversion on MY01

Here's some pics I took of my car after putting on the 04 headlights and front bumper. Also painted my calipers red this past weekend. I was going to do a very detailed DIY for the front end conversion, I had 200+ pics that I took while doing the conversion.. but the girlfriend deleted them all.

The conversion was not too hard to do, but it was VERY time consuming. It took me about 11+ hours to do the entire conversion. If I had to do it again I'm sure I could get it done in 6 or so hours, I was just being careful not to mess anything up the first time.

The calipers took me about 7 hours to do. I grinded down the calipers with a dremel tool and then put 6 coats of paint on the front and 5 on the back. I love the look though.. I always catch people looking at them when I'm stopped at the light. I still need to clean them up a little bit.. I'll be doing that this weekend.

Well here's the pictures of most of the mods I've done so far. Next up is the OEM front lip, airwalker side skirts, gp sports rear under spoiler and springs. Ok here's the pictures..

Quick question; how much would it cost to get a set of '04 headlights put into an '00? Same for taillights? And, where could I get it done? (Not a mechanic myself...I'm not totally unhandy, but don't have a garage to work in either)

Hey lane, I live in North Texas too. And I had a hard time finding a shop who would put in the 04 headlights. I went to New Concepts and they told me they wouldn't do it because they didn't want to cut the headlight housing, so I ended up doing the conversion by myself. Like I said it's really not too hard. The only things I had ever done mechanically to my car before the conversion was changing the differential fluid, tranny fluid and the oil. So I wouldn't say you have to be a mechanic whiz to do it.. just a lot of patience.

You might still have spring spacers. I would check that baby is really up there.

i still had mine after i bought the car with 18,000 miles on it, took them out and front went down about an inch and a quarter and the back about 3/4 inch. I said that was good enough.............and then i lowered it more.
