<- UT alumni here

austin is where I bent my fender, but i knew why (incline).

offsets:
51 front
63 rear.

running same tires.
225/40-18 front
255/35-18 rear

i only ask, b/c if I knew you'd have this much trouble with rubbing, i would have definitely suggest that you raise it up in the first place I feel bad.

Don't sweat it at all Tom; Live and learn man and its nobody's mistake but my own. I should have raised it up as soon as I noticed it was rubbing pretty good when I first took it out, but I didn't and I ended up bending the fender like you did. Now I'm high enough that it takes a very large bump for it to rub.

I don't blame you at all; like I said it was my own fault...the one thing that does perplex me a bit; when we did the install all 4 springs were set to the same height yet the front right sprint (passenger side) ended up significantely lower than the other 3. I took a look at all four when I raised it up and I gotta say I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I basically evened the fronts out by trial and error/measurment and then raised the rears which were even with the front drivers side up as much as the front drivers side

One more thing....because of all of this I have yet to get an alignment. Do I need to get one everytime I adjust the springs? What kind of alignment do you recommend Tom? Maybe I just need to get an aggressive alignment and then slowly lower the car down like one thread a week or so...what do you think? I have to wash it yet and then I'll snap pics of the new drop!

When you say the one corner was significantly lower, did the perch itself move, or did the spring sag a bit? Also, did you check into getting the fenders rolled? I'd see about getting the camber set a little more negative and getting the fenders rolled. Then try dropping it a little at a time.

yeah, camber your wheels so they tuck in a little. now, of course, this means faster tire wear. OR, like infinite says, roll the fenders.

I don't know why one side would be higher/lower than the other. As far as alignment, you *shoudn't* have to do it with what parts were messed with during the install. But hey, if you see horrible tire wear, the car feels weird, it might be worth the 60-100 bucks for the alignment.

Speaking of, I think I need to do that soon!

Actually, anytime you make significant changes to the suspension, particularly lowering the car, you should get an alignment. Changing it a small bit won't hurt, but a lot will change it enough.

Well the question I now have and need answered before my alignment appointment at 4PM today is can I adjust the camber on the S without a 'Camber kit' The guy at NTB said it might need a camber kit to adjust Camber...

I am so frustrated with this right now that I cannot begin to express it...its already cost me $250 in the fender repair and it still rubs rarely...so I'm afraid it'll happen again if I don't get it resolved ASAP...the fronts need it more than the rear

You won't need a camber kit since you'll probably want more negative camber.

On mine, with the 2.5" drop, I couldn't get it more positive than -2.1 on the camber. If i wanted it more positive, I would have had to have a camber kit.
