Looks fabulous! I'm reckoning that the "gaps" that these CF hoods possess are for the purpose of evacuating heat from the engine bay?

BTW, what's the likely purpose of the extra set of "gaps" only on the passenger's side corner near the windshield? The battery is over there...so what else needs the airflow in that area?

Ahhh...what the hell. A few more questions if you're willing:

- What price did you pay? (don't have to answer)

- What did you do with your original hood? Sell it & offset cost of CF hood?

Right Right, that's the main reason that I got the TS Hood since it had those vents to evacuate the engine bay heat. Same concept as the J's Racing, Mugen(Expensive, but NICE!!!), and Amuse hoods.

In Japan, since it's right hand drive, the battery is on the opposite side and I think the brake booster(??) is where the battery would be on the US Spec S2K...

My stock hood is sittin' in my garage. I'm gonna keep it in case I need to go back to stock.

 

hey esu, what about when it rains, what will happen if you have any kind of vented hood(ie j's, mugen, amuse, ts etc...)?

 

Water goes inside then magically disappears after time through a process called evaporation. LOL

Well that's what I notice with my hood.
