Default Plastidipped Matte White S2000

Ever since I picked up my S I've always wondered what it would look like in white, but never wanted to fork over $3k+ for a legit paint job. Found out about plastidipping, spent under $400 in materials, and over all I'm pretty darn happy with the outcome.

I picked up the paint pre-thinned from dipyourcar.com, they say you need 3 gallons to do a whole car (5-6 coats), but it was spraying out super thin for some reason. Thankfully I had ordered 5 gallons because I had a friend that used 3 and he had the same issue. I think we ended up at around 8-9 coats instead, and towards the end I just misted different parts of the car (especially doors, hood, and hardtop) to make sure there's no blotchy areas.

I'm on the fence about leaving the spoiler half painted and half CF, but I'll probably leave it as is. Eventually I'll just peel it all off the whole car and go back to black or spray a different colored coat on top of it. They also sell an enhancer called pearlizer that gives it more of a satin look that you just spray over the white, that's something I've been thinking of doing too but we'll see.

I didn't really plan on posting these since I just went out with my camera and a few flashes I put on the ground, but they came out alright so I thought I'd share.

Turned out amazing! Did you have any issues with the paint running? or did you make sure to spray even coats?

BTW, Keep the spoiler have painted. Looks great.

No issues at all, but then again I used a spray gun they sell on their website (borrowed it from a friend) that makes it a lot easier to get nice even coats. We forgot to get the under part of the lip with enough coats, so I went ahead and used a plastidip rattle can on that, the coats went on a little thinner and it was easier to make it run vs using a spray gun, but it still went on pretty evenly.

It's not too bad, the parts that were dirty you can just scrub with any old towel and some simple green. I love that I don't have to worry about swirling the paint on it anymore trying to get stuff off of it. I do have to admit though that it's much easier to get finger prints and other dirt on it if you're working on the car.
