Well done...I know when I did my wheels white a while back it was very hard to keep clean from the brake dust and rain dirt.

Anyway, look good!

How long is the entire process (excluding prep) and how long can you keep it on your car before peeling it off? I know the website might tell me, but I prefer hearing it from someone who has actually done it.

Here's a close up shot

From 1 foot away though, you can't see anything, only when you're looking at it really closely

There have been some people that spray automotive clear coat on it and wet sand it afterwards which gives it the same finish as normal paint, the only downside is that it doesn't peel off very easily afterwards, comes off as tiny flakes as opposed to big elastic chunks for every panel. If you spray Plasti Dip Pearlizer on top of it though, then you get a nice satin type finish. Definitely not the same as regular paint however.

Prep took around 2 hours, but we masked off the hardtop separately. Spray time was maybe around 6 hours. This is the gun we used http://www.amazon.com/Wagner-518080-...s=wagner+spray

Here it is prepped up after the first coat:

Large areas like head lights and tail lights don't need to be taped off because you can peel it right off afterwards. Areas that were masked off were parts that would get misted with over spray, meaning you'd just have to rub off the little bits with your hands.

Durability wise, it seems VERY durable, I had to peel off the paint from the Honda badges and it took me a while to actually rip a hole open after it had completely dried. I'd imagine this should last at least 2 years. Some folks do it during winter to protect the paint. Definitely don't have to worry about rock chips with this on there. After everything has fully dried, it adds around 1.5 lbs of weight to your car.

im really interested in doing this myself, i read reviews about dipyourcar.com

how long did it take from the time you ordered it to receive it?

was getting the inside of the door handles hard?

did you or do you think the door jams could be done?

Took less than a week to get the paint in from UPS, but if you have the know-how, I would probably suggest buying pure plastidip on it's own by the gallon, then adding a 1 to 1 ratio of pure plastidip and Xylene to thin it out.

DYC.com sells the gallons pre-thinned, so essentially you're paying for a gallon container that contains half a gallon of plastidip and half a gallon of paint thinner, but sells for the same price as a gallon of pure plastidip.

Getting inside the door handles was pretty easy, I had some trouble with getting under the window trim though and doing a clean edge. Since this car was originally black I didn't bother with the door jambs, but I assume it wouldn't be any harder than doing the rest of the car, just more time spent masking off the interior.
