I still have a lot to learn about using this camera and photography in general but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it:

an SLR camera doesn't mean your going to take pheonomial pictures right off the bat...

my advice to you would be to get a high megapixel camera, like a cannon a series or sd. they are good entry level cameras, and have many valuable features...

also use a tripod

heres my old cannon 2mp camera...



i now have a 7mp and i love it...one day ill go SLR...
