do the little spoon sock thingys do anything other than look cool. the ones over the brake/clutch fluids?? always have been wondering that..

They are supposed to keep the engine bay cleaner due to not letting liquids get all over the place, but I've never noticed them getting wet .

The Mugen ones are also supposed to be non-flammable

many use it for engine bling.. however, they can serve a purpose for those that do a lot of AutoX or road racing.. i believe that the sock is supposed to absorb any liquids that may spill out of the cap during hard cornering. I have them because I think they make the engine bay look a little bit better and because i am planning on tracking/autoX very soon.

oh i see. I thought it would never spill due to air and moisture=bad for brake fluids. I figured it would be a tight seal, even tho the cap feels like it could flop off at any moment. lol
