okay i have another possible stupid question while we are on this subject. I just got back from tidying up my wires and tubes and I noticed on my engine block just below the valve cover there is like goo. like whiteish grey-ish glue or something in some spots. I believe iv seen this before on others, but does it serve any purpose? or can i scrape it off with something??

 

You should be able to clean it off, its probably just dripped Honda bond or something.
