Sorry to interrupt...
Here is a little better pic of my car. I can probably fit 265 in rear.

Here is the spec
17x9 +45 with 255/40/17 all around. No rubs with this height. May be when I brake little harder or driving through big bump.

Looks good Khiro, your car is pimp. thanks for the pics cuz Im rolling the flaring the fenders later. Chris, the fender is actually straight. The paint job is messed up cuz I didnt have enough light when I was painting the car and the clear didnt lay down evenly. Oh well... gotta bring it down back to the base coat and shoot it again. We'll see how it turns out this time...
If you are willing to run compromised alignment settings, You can get low offset wheels to barely fit. It doesn't change that the wheel and tire is dangerously close to hitting the body.
I'll stick with my 18x9+63's rears that don't hit the body at any time, even lowered an inch. No BS -4 degrees of camber and toe out to clear the bumper.
If you like crappy handling, and wearing out skinny back tires, stick with the low offset wheels.
BTW, My wheel openings are completely stock, as is the bumper attachment points. I also do my own alignments on a Hunter Visualiner.

It seems more like the ones commenting knew & know what they were talking about. Plus I don't think a couple of them are OEMish at all. They were going by the original pictures and it looks obviously like the fenders were damaged from the wheels.
Since you don't care at all about looks, you should do as much camber as possible. It'll look tite like some of the 240's in japan.

But in the end if he is daily driving/commuting this car (which looks like the case) anyone would be fine at OEM height.
It will look a bit strange though.
He said it was straight in the picture without any tires but from my angle of view it already looked damaged.
Ohh well..
