seriously, i would love to do that to my car but its not practicle for a semi-daily driver.

get some spoon wheels + wildwood brakes and you'll smoke a 996 turbo on the track

I haven't gotten my competition license yet. I can't think of any sanctioning bodies that don't require one. Currently I am just doing track events (FATT, HPDE, etc.). I will likely spend the remainder of this season and next season improving my track driving and working on the competition license. I may run some of the time trials that NASA offers.

I think the main thing with the 996 was that he is a better driver than me. I haven't had any brake issues. I am running Hawk Blues front/Hawk Blacks rear with steel braided lines, Motul fluid and 2" ducts in the front. The car stops so hard it is frightening. We haven't experienced any fade with this brake setup, so I am going to run it for a while.

I may be able to fit Spoon wheels in there now with the -3.5 degrees of camber. I was avoiding them because of offset, but that may not be an issue anymore.
