Nothing wrong with using too much tape but as least take some time to put it on half decent LOL

 

Blue tape is too expensive to be wasting it IMO.

Some people would rather not beat the shit out of the front of their cars on long road trips. Interstate driving will destroy the front end paint quick and if you actually care about how your car looks and like having the paint then taping one up isn't a big deal.

 

we just drove around 600 miles up and down the jersey turnpike and I-95. yes, blue tape is not exactly cheap (i paid $8/roll for 2inch tape). but i used only 1.5 rolls. i washed the car thoroughly before applying. yeah we got some stares and amused looks, but the tape did it's job. covered with dirt and bugs, but once removed, the front end and hood were spotless.

btw this was the first time i have used blue painters tape, and the amount covered was definitely overkill, imo...next time i won't do so much of the hood.
