Looks to me like the crumple zone is doing its job. The kickback of the dummies head does make you say "OUCH". It hurts more to see a perfect S go out like that.

The S2000 is actually an amazing car from a passenger safety standpoint. (For a roadster) Several S2ki members have recently seen the medical insurance premiums on their auto policies decrease due to the much better than anticipated injury rate in S2k crashes.

(Unfortunately, this is usually accompanied by a much bigger increase in the collision premium because so many S2000s have been crashing the past year. )
