18s is definitely not "pushing it". I think 18s with a lip looks smaller than 17s with no lip....so if the wheel has a lip, 18s look good. However, i think 18s with no lip does look a bit too big on our S.
thanks to the people who posted those nice cars on 19's that looks awsome!
and if you dont like the look dont post in here go put your little 16 inch jdm wheels on your s2ks and enjoy, not everyone likes what you like so get used to it.
i dont see how you can think 19's look bad

It looks bad because its blatantly ridiculous.
Sometimes a marginally bigger wheel can have a bit of an advantage, I read a test where the overall outside diameter of the tire was kept the same, but the size of the wheel was increased, leaving a shorter side-wall.
Cornering G's improved a small amount when changing from a 15 to 16 inch wheel, and improved a smaller amount moving to a 17 inch wheel, and from then on, theres no advantage from moving to a larger wheel.
Another thing to consider is that big wheels are heavy, they will slow you down in the straights because of the huge rotational inertia of a 19 or 20 inch wheel is a lot more resistance to the drivetrain.
All the extra unsprung weight won't help you in the corners either.
The ride height on huge wheels is awesome too.

My take is that if you bought a car so you could put "da 20 inch rimz" on it, get something other than the S2000, because you'll just look like an imitator next to a real blinged out car like an Escalade... not that I like that stuff anyway.

yeah your looking at it for race/speed wise which i could care less about, if i wanted that i wouldnt even get wheels id do a supercharger. i want a good looking car, and if i wanted to look like a cadillac id put 20 inch chromes, but some nice deep dish 19's staggered will make it look good.
