the CR is too refine for me. an over-rated AP2. where is the raw and driver feelin of the S?
dump a set of j's suspension on an AP1, i think the lap time will be very close to the CR

Any good set of coilovers and better tires and it's a driver's race.
5K more for a car with ridiculous front lip and wing
Looks like the type S is using F 215/40/17, R 245/40/17 RE050A tire. 27.2 front swaybar and 27.2 rear swaybar. The tire sqeek sounds like 050A.
The CR have much sticker tire and different swaybars.

That guy was a crazy driver! He went air born atleast twice, and was bumping around at a good rate of speed!
Seems the CR is definatly faster then a stock s2k there is no questioning that, however I'd be curious what the difference was when both s2000s have the same tires equipped to get that out of the equation.

you have to consider the design limitation OEM mfg has, it has to be civilizes enough to all the potential buyer yet wild enough to get 36k out of their bank.
how is it not rawer than an ap1? look at the the added rigidity, suspension setting and all that stuff.
the more i look into it the more i like the CR.
to the OP: thanks for eh video
