BD89 - the boost is similiar to the S2000 set up so not high, plus the Aston engine (4.7 BTW ) is based on the Jaguar 5.0 engine which they supercharge to 500 BHP or 600 BHP with more boost and a remap

fishfryer - I surprised the AM dealer when I told him it would do ~6k miles year with the roof down unless it was snowing Apparently the average owner does less than 2k miels a year!

On a 4.3 maybe on a 4.7 there is no point as is it the same outputs as a Prodrive 4.3
Aston work VERY closely with Prodrive.
Prodrive run all three Aston racing team.
Many of the race developments end up on the new models.

that is because the Chairman of Prodrive David (I forgot his last name) bought Aston Martin in 2007...

David Richards

He is a part owner as a result of the management buyout
He was already running the AM racing teams then
Along with Subarus WRC efforts
He has a DB5 convertible under covers in their Workshops in Banbury

IMO, AM makes the best looking cars in the world. GREAT choice!!! I would take one over a ferrari, lambo, porsche, maserati and the like (in an equal performance class of course).
Well, I could live with an Enzo... for as long as it took me to sell it and then buy a house and a fleet of various performance cars instead.
