The front bumper looks exactly like the ones off the new Porshce 911 Turbos. The top off of the 350z, and the rest a regular s2000. Interesting picture though. I'm happy with mine.

i personally prefer S2000 (our version) with hardtop (but with 2200 engine ),
looks more like a roadster n more aggressive

I guess I may be that idiot. If this is the one coming to market, let's think about this one.....

More powerful engine....more torque and hp. 1 point for S2200

Model year 2005 vs. my 2000.....newer car, newer warranty, almost all bugs worked out of the car already from the S2000 base. 1 point for S2200

Hatchback design vs. convertible in reference to storage space. 1 point for S2200

Year round driver without worry about hardtop decisions/storage/cost. 1 point S2200

Top down driving for summer vs. closed in cabin (can be fixed with a sunroof though). 1 point for S2000

Since it's a full bodied car, less weight in the bracing for this car, weight advantage S2200. 1 point for S2200.

More nimble performance...most likely S2200. 1 point S2200.

In my book, that's 6 points to the S2200 vs. 1 point for the convertible S2000. Practicality and performance gain win out in my choice. Like I said, I just may be that idiot.

That picture looks great, but there is just something about going against the convertible heritage of the car. It just doesn't seem right to not be a convertable.

I don't know. There's something about it that just doesn't look right to me. I love the convert. with a hard top. Something about that hatch looks too pedestrian and not sporty enough to me. I think its a little too tall for its length. I'm really curious to seen what ends up happening with it though. By the time I can afford one, I should be just in time to catch the new model...hopefully.
