yea they make it in english but they have stage 1 with 4 episodes per DVD.... its expensive...

i would suggest to buy japanese version and read the subtitles...

i believe you can get it on the PS2 in Japan...but the experience isn't the same without the seat and steering wheel

 

If you get the Logitech Pro Wheel + jdm ps2 + inital D (now a best hits title), it'll be pretty close to the arcade. Its what I got right now. The plus is the complete arcade game, plus other modes. The negative is no 2 player action.

There is an Initial D for the PC. I do not have the game yet, but planning to pick one up pretty soon. The only thing that sucks is that they changed the names of the characters to more "pronouncable" names!
