yeah, the driver of the s2k looks a little non-conventionally "cool". I wonder how he fits in the interior? The S2K is a relatively new vehicle, I thought it would be better if they had a younger looking guy driving this car. (No offense to all you middle-aged drivers) Well, that's just my opinion.

 

you can buy the anime, stages 1-3, extra stage, and battle stage on ebay for like $70. these will be in japanese with english subtitles.

as for stage four episodes, they're not on dvd yet. the only way to watch them state side is to download.

 

YEah.....got those 2 episodes last week. THey are awsome. Can't wait for the rest. At least translations are much better this time. Still some mistakes but I still love it.

Stage 4 is the anime, there aren't any stages listed for the manga as far as I know it's just the comic #.

The US versions of anything Intial D are about as gay as you can get. They've marketted it as "Speedracer meets Fast and Furious!" and thats basically what its become.

They got rid of the Eurobeat soundtracks and have added their own "tricked out" racing scenes which are just the normal racing scenes put with mirror images, negative effects and color changes.

Frankly, it's bad enough for me to NEVER EVER buy anything Tokyo Pop makes (the company responsible for the US version) and my advice to everyone -

You want Initial D? Go to Kazza or Bittorent.

Regarding the Arcade game - there is Initial D Arcade Stage, and Arcade stage Version 2. I've got a fully moded S2000 for both the games, however you will be dissappointed - The s2000 is a bottom tier car in the game.

The Ps2 game is called Initial D Special Stage. I've heard its far more balanced than the Arcade stages.

Soon Arcade stage version 3 is coming out (sponsored by Mazda) and again the s2000 isn't that great. The game is fun, just dont expect to break any record in using the cars you enjoy (also the game is far from realistic).

 

my friends already played arcade stage 3 in cali but it was in japanese... so arcade stage 3 is already out, just not officially out state side.

i agree 100% about the US version of initial d. don't waste your money. i wouldn't say to download it either, watching it on TV is much better than on a computer. so go to ebay and search for initial d and get 10 discs for $70 or so (3 discs stage 1, 3 disks stage 2, 2 discs stage 3, 1 disc battle stage, 1 disc bonus stage)

and IMO, the PS2 version, Initial D Special Stage, sucks compared to Arcade stage II. i have the ps2 version and it is no where near as fun as the arcade.

 

I just tried to play the new initial d stage 4 eps and it doen't work! i can hear the sound but my media player can't show a picture or my divx can some one please help me may be provide a link or somthing thanx for your help in advance.

 

Try downloading the newest divx. You might also want to try using the Divx Player. Windows Media player plays the file out of sync but works fine under the divx player.
