You might want to "forget" about the valet key part. I read an article about ins co's not covering stolen cars with immobilizers. Does your ins know about the key?

Sorry, for your loss. I too have "donated" a loved vehicle to the void that is Orlando. Brought a del sol down from MI when I was going to school. I had it for a month before it was jacked. I never heard anything about it afterward, so at least you have closure.
