I used a 50 1.8, and the kit lenses - 18-55, and 55-200. Nothing top of the line, but I have my cameras settings and post processes dialed in.

^ mastering the cameras settings are the easy part. Do a little reading and I am sure you will pick that portion up quickly. The real challenge is composition, locations, and creativity.
Where in VA are you located? I occasionally fly into Newport News to go work at Langely...and I may be there at some point this year.

Me too!! I also keep going to my flickr acct to look at my car and his car. Before the wheels both our CR's looked identical and people would joke we were twins (i guess just because they were blue on swift springs lol)...now the cars are so different and have taken on their own identities. Really cool to see.
I never liked the high offset SOS spec RG-D's in pictures, but every time I saw a locals car I liked the wheels and I got close to buying a set myself. I ended up with RSII's instead, but damn these RG-D's look good. I think these pictures finally do them justice!
