Where are you located? Shipping wheels can get pricey. You should be able to find a place that is pretty close to this price. I have found places from $45/wheel all the way to $95/wheel.

I am located in Central Oregon. There are quite a few places over here that are around this price. The reason I got all this done at this price is becase they give a discount if you are in a car club This shop also said that they can match Mugen Bronze almost perfectly This has been a concern in the past for some folks.

If you still want the contact info for this shop just PM me

Brandon
Hey I am located in NOVA (22180) I am looking to get exactly what you described. I would be looking to pay 45 for the prepping, wheels, and lugs. Do you know of anywhere closer to me that does good work?

Thanks for the clarification. This makes much more sense. The "PVD" process has been around for quite a long time, but has been used primarily in the making of IC's (Integrated Chips). This can be a very costly process since the machines to do this cost a butt load of money. Obviously there is less of a need to be perfect in coating wheels then there is for IC's but a "sputter" machine in the semi-conductor industry can cost upwards of $2 million or more I am sure that the "sputter" machines they use for wheels are far less sophisticated but I am sure are still expensive.

Thanks,

Brandon
Also, in powdercoating the material is "magnetically" attached to the object, then "melted" to adhere to the substrate. In "sputtering" the material is actually embedded into the substrate of the object.

I am no expert so correct me if I am wrong but this is my understanding

Sorry man, I have no idea if there is anything on that side

The cost of shipping your wheels all the way to this side of the country would be too much IMO.

Try looking in your yellow pages or something. I searched yellowpages.com and found a place in Lorton, VA. I am not sure how far that is from you though It is called Extreme Powder Coating.

Hope this helps,

Brandon
