Exclamation Silverstone-Blue-Pearl

Well I am up working on my projects and I decide while my files save down to my HD I would monkey around with my latest pics.

For those that dont know I set out to have this really cool custom color applied to the outside of the car. It was going to be the standard Silverstone with blue pearl additive put into the clear coat (different but not so different that I needed to paint the inside of the parts of the car).

The paint sample was kick-ass, but I later learned that putting the pearl powder in the clear coat would have corrupted my clear coat after a couple of months and then turned it a milky white color so that idea was OUT!

So the shop added the pearl in the paint itself which reduced the pearl quite a bit and darkend the car ( I like it, but it just was not the same as seeing that paint sample in the sun).

So here is the first showing of silverstone-blue-pearl, its custom but you can only see the pearl in direct sunlight or under florecent light (sorry it did not come through in the pics):

Wheels and other goodies still on their way

Nice looks like a quality job ...Is it just me or does the stock ap1 rims look really good with the Ings +1 kit? I would think rims would be mandatory for that kit. I think it looks great as is, but rims would deff not hurt. What Wheels are you going with?

VOLK GT7's or bust

I was always dead set on black centers but with the darkness of this new skin, I am thinking something in a hyper or diamond black or gunmetal

The kit and the drop sell the stokers a bit more than no kit but, I have to get some wheels or I get no wild badge or any closer to showing the car with any real expectations HAHAHA

Nice job. I think the darker color is the way to go. Is that a custom hood or did you have it cut out ?

The hood is a custom jobby (cut OEM) some hate it, some love it, but it is totallly funtional. Some of my FI buddies are gettin 40 degree coolant temp reductions with it.

yeah they are aftermarket, but my stockers are scattered throught the universe. 5 were lost when I had tires replaced (I dont know how) another 3 out of 5 were lost when another tire company put a rear wheel on the front and i broke 3 studs 2 miles away from the place.

So what is the badness of after market lugs on stock wheels?? I have not heard this before tell me about this

Does this also apply to "good" lugs like Rays or other high end??

thanks for the compliments

aftermarket=60* taper

oem=conical(rounded)

only use rounded on rounded wheels, tapered on aftermartket wheels

riley.

they dont seat right and its dangerous
