Want to keep the stock airbox,as I have a C,F,cover on the way,but would like to hide that halfpainted cross member;probably would choose Al.
Do you think,It could fit, without removing the airbox?
Hmm, It's been so long since I've taken my stock box out that I can't recall if there are any mounting brackets or bolts that go through the crossmember cover for the air box. You would have to take it out to install the cover obviously. I'm sure if there is a bracket though, the cover could be easily notched to make room.

BTW, you should cover your teins in CF tape to match

Now this is a completely backwards statement. How do you know it was a waste of money and not even know how much it cost?

Anyway, you can find the price on the website (www.s2kaccessories.com). This was a prototype unit so I can't say how much I got it for. Let's just say it was worth it to me I got it mainly for looks, not function obviously.

I bought a roll of a few years ago online somewhere. I can't remember where though. It was CF print vinyl. If you do a search for carbon fiber tape on google, you're sure to find a few places that sell the real thing. You could probably search for cf vinyl and come up with a few places as well.

Looks good. Honestly how is the weave quality and fitment?
And it's hard to tell from your pics. I would have guessed 2x2, but the site says 1x1?

Thanks.

The weave quality and fitment is perfect. The guy that does it works for a major race team/auto manufacturer that's known globally for their CF work. I can't give out what team and company though. The parts don't have any complex angles or shapes so there's not much to screw up anyway.

Here's a closeup of the weave pattern so you can get an idea of exactly what it is:
