As my screen name suggests, I'm a bit of a Saab guy. Here's my life's work, just finished off the flat black, rattle can paint job:

My buddy has got the same car as you 88 900 turbo SPG. He got it from his dad who bought it new, the car has I kid you not 300k miles on it and still runs strong. His dad also bought a used 91 turbo convertible about 10 years ago. Everytime I get in that I car I always think of what an inovative car it must have been 20 years ago.

Heh...when I bought that car in '99, it had almost 290,000 miles on it. I've since rebuilt the motor a couple of times, and added quite a few go-fast bits, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, put it on stand alone engine management, etc. Everything I know about cars, I learned to do on the Saab.

Yet despite all the mods and such, it can never handle or feel like an S2000. I'm currently listing the Saab for sale to fund the next automotive desire - an AMG of some sort. Will keep the S2000 though!
