you have to keep the shoulder harnesses at or above shoulder level. if mounted to the floor or lower, you'll risk compressing your spine in a head on collision.

You can take these comments with a grain of salt. You asked for people's opinions and thats what they're giving you.

Honestly, the seats do look great but with that said, the seats don't look like they're all too safe compared to stock seats and stock seatbelts.

just my honest opinion
and thats why I said thanx for the great comments, cant please everyone

just out of curiosity:

1) which bracket are you using?
2) is it possible to make the seat sit lower?
3) does the top side bolster rub against the door? or do you have problems with opening the glove box?

I'm thinking about those seats as well...just wondering if it would work out for me.

thanks

No offense, but if this is about "pleasing" others, then you need a reality check. Improperly mounted harnesses are extremely dangerous. There's a right way to do things, and this is something that needs to be done properly so you don't get hurt. The way the Speeds sit so high above the factory hoops is also a problem. Most of the comments made are in the interest of your safety.

They look like they sit higher than stock, but they do not. The seats themselves are are "longer" at the back than the stock seats while the bottom is more of a bucket than stock seats.

You sight lower than stock in the seat alone, it just looks like you'd sit higher.
