Post Speed Demon Built Motor Crew

Ok here is the deal. At the request of the good guys running the show around these parts I am starting this thread

There was some flack going back and forth in Quikie's Wild Side thread concerning what was "wild" and what was not. Wild in that thread, means looking wild. As far from stock on the outside as possible, which is a respectable goal for some (myself included).

There are others out there with wild cars that are not so wild on the outside but are ballz out crazy on the inside. Engines and performance mods in general get points here. Wheels and wings count here too, but only if you track that hunk and/or go over 100 MPH.

FI, SC, NA it does not matter to me. Just dont post up your AEM V2 and exhaust (like my setup) and expect to make the grade. It is a good start and I am no hater by any means but we want built motors.

So show me the money shots and list out the mods and the peanut gallery (me and a couple of wrench monkeys) will start handing out badges. I do not have the ability to award badges like CO's and Mods do so I will post the badge so you can see what it looks like. You can also vote to change it or tweak it too (I want you guys/gals to like the badge).

You savvy web guys can steal the badge and use it to your hearts content, but it would be cooler to earn it.

here is the badge:

Let er rip kids!!!

I hear you on the NA motors, but, if you list out the shizz done to it and maybe pop the valve cover, we can tell. A series of pics while the motor was/is apart works well too, you know...stuff a true gear head would love to see is what we are looking for from NA guys. You guys with these built motors rip into them all the time so make sure you take pictures when you do.

Cams, Pistons, valves, sleeves, strokers, ITB's ported, polished, etc, "All motor" deserves some respect too, fellas.

f20kills-----I need more pics and list out everything done to it. Is your head gasket thicker, did you up your injectors, what BOV do you have-if any, High boost controller installed? Give a run down of your EMS map with out getting too specific if you want to keep it secret. Basically get as specific as you can. Lovefab is good, but beyond the bolt on what have you done?

I dont want to get too elitist right off the bat but, we need a little more from you. Dazzle us with your pride for your motor, you have put in the wrench time so why not talk it up as much as possible. A front shot picture that you can barely see the motor in and a 3 line list of bolt ons you just got cant do much to move me when I have guys giving me this:

Cosmetix:

Top Secret front bumper&CF hood, Top Secret Hood lifters
Custom black met. paint job
Custom painted headlamp housing
Rick's smoked USDM corners&sidemarkers

Engine:

FOX custom made intake piping with K&N filter
Spoon throttle body,oil cap,thermostat
Blitz 1.3psi radiator cap
Tabata 3 core racing radiator
LoveFab oil cooler
LoveFab turbo kit:
Garrett GT30/71R
LoveFab Mini-me manifold
LoveFab 3" downpipe, recirculated wastegate dump tube;
TiAL 44mm wastegate;
TiAL 50mm Blow-off valve;
Precision 650hp intercooler
LoveFab 2.5" Aluminum IC piping;
4 ply silicon couplers, T-bolt clamps
AEM EMS Plug and Play Standalone management;
AEM UEGO O2 sensor with dig. gauge
RC750cc injectors;
Walbro 255lph fuel pump;
Fast-turbo oil feed/return, coolant feed/return lines
FOX custom 3" dual exhaust
Mobile 1 engine oil

Brakes:

Spoon drilled front brake disc
Endless rear brake disc
EBC RED STUFF brake pads
Neuspeed brake lines
Trust brake fluid

Drivetrain:

Spoon clutch cover and disc, flywheel (3 puck Spoon clutch disc to be installed)
Richmond's 4.57 final gear
RAYS Volk CE28n 17" in bronze
Michelin PS2 225-255, for auto-x OEM wheels in bronze with Hoosier A3S04

Suspension:

D2-hight, stiffnes and rebound adjustable full-track suspension
Spoon front&rear strut bar
Neuspeed front sway bar and x-bar

Interior:

Mugen shift know
Earthquake speakers
Autometer boost and water temp. gauges
AEM digital A/F gauge

Not that you have to have this much done, but an example like this with ample pics gets the badge no questions asked. this is show off time boys and girls.

Dyno sheet scans work wonders with our one judge so include those when you can.

f20kills--dont take this the wrong way. Just show me the rest of the photos from that shoot and tell me what going on under the hood a bit more.

Good start, lets iron out what we are looking for and get some badges handed out. If there are other questions about what we are looking for yadda yadda yadda just ask away
