Well IMO the window is gonna look badass.I dont see why everyone is complaining about how its gonna affect the strength in the top.Lets face it...its frickin dry carbon. If you flip over its gonna bust no matter what.I didnt expect my mugen top to save my life since its fiberglass. Now with my oem top I feel a little safer. If your scared go to church or get a non convertible car

Major props Sinji
Hopefully my car won't flip over when I hit the track next week

As for the dry carbon, it's more like carbon-fiber reinforcement and it's only on the interior of the top side of the hardtop. Somewhat similar to the carbon-fiber reinforcement on the Mugen SS front and rear bumpers. Otherwise, it's mainly fiberglass.

Props to you Sinji! Although I do have to agree with Andrew. If I were to change it up via another company, I would've changed up the design a bit since the Mooncraft top makes the car a bit too bulbous for my tastes.

Because the OEM hardtop is made of metal and it will most likely not crush as much during a rollover, where as dry carbon will collapse and bring your head and the hardtop a lot closer together and induce quite a bit of damage.

No the stock roll hoops does not have to be removed

Dickson
not very sure this is right, the metal skin on the oem top is very thin, it's not the the material alone that makes it's strong, it's the struture of metal fold and geometry that forms the structural integrity (again, i don't personally have an oem ht)

depends on the quality of cf, it's actually has a high strength than alot of metal, but in the case of ht, i have personally seem a car with a cf hood in one piece while the whole car is crashed like a soda can after a very wrong turn in the high speed sweeper.

it's a tad safer(vs a rag top of course) but i don't see how it will that much better than cf.

You could paint the trunk, but it'll still look obvious that the trunk is there through the lexan. It would look better if the trunk portion was cut altogether, but then you wouldn't be able to access anything in the trunk making it worse. If the trunk were attached to the top into a true hatch, it would be better, but b/c of chassis flex, the spoon top would warp/fracture in an instant.

Swing by the meet this weekend and you'll see what I mean.
Oh ill defiantly be there, im looking forward to seeing your car. Any plans if it rains?

I will be designing the back pc as an opition. What I mean is the back of the spoon top is a hatch and I will be designing an option that you can make it look like an oem back which will be repace of your choice....The reason for this is just in case you want to used the truck and not have to worry about taking the back out and put whatever you want ....The opion back will look just like the oem top and you can used this top with a choice of the hatch or the oem style....let me know what you think..

I do understand where youre coming from Andrew, but the top should have been originally released with a window because of a big blindspot there. what shine is doing is fixing all the issues that the original top has like the gap where the door window seals against the top and where the top lays on the body by the door. All that is being cleaned up and redesigned to be better.

I dont like replicas myself but I like quality. I would always pay for a better quality than go with name brand if the quality is better. replicas get a bad rep because of the lack of quality but you should see how they run the shop. what they specialize in is quality not quantity and they actually will take back something that does not fit properly everytime.
it is a knock off lets not get away from the fact

but two improvements are the side windows and the window leak

the window leak i think is spoon sports dropping the ball on its customers
and would only lead to a knock off forming, because people actually like the top

price soon please

i see this product as Re-Work to improve the product. = new/different product.

make it like mooncraft which will be awesome...your side window is almost done...then make it with identical fastback...be able to lift the fastback to open trunk, not remove the fastback.

and i can make dampers/lift to open the fastback
