I'm sorry guys, but it is the camera.....look at the relative position of the Vtec solenoid and the slope on the valve cover, it's at the same spot...

ugh, you can clearly see that it is extended.
in picture one you see the cover extend past the block and in picture two compared to the F series motor with the red top// you can see that the cover goes past the pullies and belts.
