Default Stock is hot!

Hey fellas, after years and YEARS of waiting I finally found it suitable to purchase the car that I have been drooling over for the past 11 years. I have test driven many, researched for days, detailed countless and have lost infinite hours of sleep dreaming about the day that I could finally purchase my very own s2000. Other cars on the lineup were an FJ Cruiser, 4runner, sti, and EVO, while all were sweet vehicles none of them put a smile on my face like the s2k did.

After many months of continually searching every auto search engine available I was convinced that I would drive/ship the car pretty much any distance as long as it was within reason and met my criteria, a 2002-2003 Berlina Black s2000 with black interior. I woke up on a Saturday morning and pulled a search on autotrader, and voila! A low mileage(40k) BB Ap1 s2k that was COMPLETELY stock. The car was a whopping 3 miles from my zipcode (so much for shipping ) I had the car checked out/carfaxed (matching VIN #s on all panels) and everything came clean and the next thing I know is that im leaving the bank with cash in hand. Paid the owner in full signed the paperwork and SHE WAS MINE!!

Now that I have had the car in my possession I am contemplating whether I should lightly mod it (coilovers, intake, quiet exhaust) or leave it completely stock since it will ONLY be a weekend car, the car is just to pristine!! The only problems the car had was that it had moderate swirling and old wax in all the cracks/crevices emblems. I spent about 3 hours removing all the caked up old stuff. Also, hard work DEFINITELY pays off!

Began washing it after purchasing it

condition of the paint, definitely a victim of auto car washes, its a good thing I Detail!

doing some wetsanding

wet sand with the flash on

prepping the window frame for buffing

The rims were degreased and clayed and then had the faces/inner barrel/lip buffed. They came out EXTREMELY CLEAN, you can see the barrels in some of the pics

Polished the exhaust tips as well

100% carnauba wax with 4 layers of WG sealant and 1 layer of DWG. A bit overkill but its my wax!

degreased, scrubbed, and protected

cool pic

Congrats !!

that's a realllll clean AP1, ... it's really not so easy to find these days since they only made AP1s from 00-03 in the States..

coils , wheels, intake or exhaust(need SOME sound atleast ), and a front lip/bumper will be satisfying !

well of course, until you get bit by the ModBug.
