Stone's JDM AP1 Rust Bucket Project!
Good evening all,
Thought it was about time that I signed up to the forum that has been such a great source of information over the last few months on various issues I've had with my project S2000
Initially purchased for the running gear through a friend of a friend with the plan to build a high powered naturally aspirated kit car.. Well after a few months at looking at builds & enjoying driving a friends previously I thought it might be worth trying to save this JDM AP1 although it will never be a pristine show n shine I'm hoping it will be clean enough to enjoy some dry weekend blasts & potentially limits days in the UK - Well chuffed with how far she's come already!

Still plentttttty more to go - Powerflex through out, coilovers, fibre glass seats, full brake rebuild/upgrade etc but was great to see the condition of the engine internals for a block thats covered over 150,000 miles -

It will stay permeant open top in an attempt to keep the weight as minimal as possible, be great to get it under a 1,100kg but think that maybe a bit optimistic without spending fortunes on carbon components although as a pure toy with no daily comforts required a ton of weight has been removed already!

I have blogged the build for any one interested on my Youtube channel, any input from those who know these inside & out would be greatly appreciated
First video of the blog, collecting the old girl and driving it back with a seized rear brake, leaky dampers (not known at the time) and budget tyres all round - was "sketchy" to say the least
