now that i look a second time your car looks almost the same on the drop with eibach against the espelir..but it almost looks lower. it could be the rim size difference.

If you are interested in autocross take a look in the competition and racing forum.

I have 18's, and an Amuse lip so that makes the car look lower but the car itself is not really lower, other than the 1" drop from the springs.

Where did you hear bad things about coilovers??
it was from an eclipse forum on a suspension war. I dont think that coilovers are BAD but they said my roads are too bumpy for coilovers and that I should just stick to shocks. what do u think? my roads are really not that bumpy, their not perfect but their not potholed everywhere. I always dodge holes and bumps and go reallly slow over bad train tracks.

Well the roads in new england completely suck and I know plenty of people have coilover with no problems.

The people on those other board must not understand what they are designed to do. I can speak from experience that upgrading the suspensions make a difference for the better. When you buy coilovers you need to do your research and decide what spring rate you need and what your bound and rebound will be. I don't know everything about coilevers and spring rates but I can tell you this, if you buy the wrong spring and then a shock not designed to be used with that spring... your car will ride like crap. Just like if you buy a set of coilovers that have rates that you don't like or don't work well with your style of driving they will seem like crap.

You have to know what your buying and what your going to use it for. It sounds like you want to buy springs for more the looks than the control during auto-crossing. Right?

I dont know much about s2000 suspension i admit it. But the one thing I do want is to be lowered, only about 1inch to 1.3inches and when I take a turn I want it to TAKE the turn better than it did when it was stock, and sometimes i think its hard to accomplish but thats my goal. I love being able to turn sharp fast, i dont like body roll..so i guess i'm lookin for a lowered look but with awesome turning stiffness. I'm going to put 17's on my car but that wont be for a while. I'll be keeping the 16's for a while.

I think your going to learn about this car, is that it comes highly tuned from honda in almost every way. I lowered my car with the Eibach's, they cost me about $200 bucks... all it did was lower the car. It handles the same, drives the same, rides the same, its just 1" closer to the ground.
This car can for the most part drive circles around most cars on the road... but it comes pretty well setup right out of the box.

Eibach Pro-Kit. I've had 'em on for about 2 years/5K miles. OEM shocks are done. Going full coilover now...
