Default T1R 70RT Failure

3 months 3,000 miles later... idk what happened! Last Friday night I was driving on the highway as I accelerate I see a shower of sparks from the rear of my S, Thank God i'm dealing with Evasive Motorsports on this.

I hope this is a defect it looks like the inside baffle/mesh melted and the packing inside ignited. Very embarrasing

Ahhh man!!! Sorry to hear about this. I'd really like to own this exhaust but this scares me. To be honest, after numerous threads about rattling/deterating Amuse exhaust mufflers and resonators it makes you really wonder if Titanium exhausts are really durable enough for DD and or street use.

Yes very sad I shed a tear actually when I pulled over and saw the muffler... Any ideas how this can happen isn't Titainium stronger and a better choice for an exhaust application? NOTE: this has only been on my car for about 3,000 mi and 3 months time so i'm just hoping it's a defect

That sucks, don't know what to say - I'm sure Evasive will take care of you though!

If your packing caught on fire, I wonder if you are either running really lean (high EGT) or really rich. Only time I've really seen packing catch on fire is really rich conditions.

It's definetly a weird issue my Greddy Ti-C or the Stock exhaust never seemed to run hot and I never thought this system got that hot either.
