Born in Taiwan lived there for 11 years before coming to the states. Visit every couple of years, use to be every year but most of the relatives are moving or have moved to the states. Guess it's because I am from NYC but I really don't mind the smell (Chinatown), congestion(Long Island Expressway). or weather(Humidity). It's Taiwan, it's not Beverly Hills.

I'm back in the US now guys. Goddamnn jet lag has got me pretty f-ckedup. Anyway, about the only thing good in Taiwan was all the pretty girls. Goddamn! I knew one beatuful Asian girl in HS, but going to Taiwan was like seing her all over the place! Chinese women are definitely the most beautiful Asian wonen out there! Too bad I have a Girlfriend. I even turned down free you know what. Well, if anyone is going to Taiwan, you must go to the TU club cause there are many women waiting to be picked up. Have fun!

Wow, I'm surprised by the number of Asians here. Well then again what did I expect, this is an S2000 board hehe. Yeah well, I'm asian too, still lookin for that S Well actually Hong Kong decendant, but I've been to Taipei once. Good place, much like any asian city, polluted, congested, fun and most of all, high gass prices.

I haven't go back there in years but.. I think the import tax for
cars are like 50-75%???

So I've heard a well equipped camry cost 40k.. a civic hatch would
probably cost good 30k... a S2000?.. above 55k...

And all those Mercedes you saw... a nice S500 should cost more
than a Ferrari here... so count how many you see over there
in taipei... and see if you can find anywhere close to that here in
US...

Taiwanese only likes MBenz and BMWs... dont think anyone would
want to spend that much money on a Honda over there... and
I heard they dont like Porcshees either... This is why you see
bunch of BMW 3's and MBZ C class running around everywhere in
Alhambra...

Taiwanese is a dialect from Fukien... so it's actually a type of
Fukienese?... Fukien is a province of China...
Oh ya.. traffic light and lane divider is really for reference only as
someone already mentioned... I've see 5 cars running side by
side on the road with only 3 lanes!!.. And over there pedastrians
give way to the vehicles... not the other way around... which I
think is WAY more efficient... it takes way longer to wait for
someone to WALK by than for someone to DRIVE by you...
