the two short side mounts did you need to remove the carpet lining?

i'm curious to know wher the entire harness ends up on the seat bolts?

i'm clueless lol

not safe .... the harness are going down way to much once they exit the back of the seat. if you got into an accident.... snap. bye bye spinal cord. i had my takatas mounted like that before i got the Cusco cage. my fathers friend who is into cars looked at my car. he is a spinal surgion. he took one look at those and ripped me a new one. it is way to unsafe to drive your car like that. i looked at it this way. i have spent so much money on everything else on my car. why get cheap now on something that could risk my life??? wasn't worth it.

Takata = Bling. Why spend so much money on harnesses you have to replace 24/7 anyways?

Most harnesses expire every 2 years to be used in competition events.
Fia harnesses like shroth or willans wont expire for 5 years I think.
Takata aren't even legal to use here. Only good for bling.

Also the angle b/w shoulder and mounting points shouldn't be more than 45 degrees, that's almost 90 degrees. You need a rollbar.

Tom,

I would honestly mount them to some sort of harness bar. I had mine mounted in my trunk prior to the rollcage with harness bar install. Even with my rollcage, I still wouldnt use them on the street. For me these are mainly for show. I have my OEM seatbelts and they work just fine for day to day driving but if the car is going to SEMA then yeah Takatas come out....
One other thing too, dont wrap them around the OEM bars. Thats really unsafe too. I did that and some northern California members really opened my eyes about what could happen with them setup like that. Plus the fact I have been in accidents and can tell you first hand, that OEM belts work great. They are your new best friend in an accident..

first off takatas are Fia approved. the ones in my car now say they are good untill 2008. so they do not need to be replaced every two year. secondly not all willans are fia approved. i have a set in my closet that i was running for a month which are not. they are 2" instead of 3 like most willans. my takatas are 4". takatas are considered one of it not the best harnesses in the world for racing applications when combined with the submarine belt of either 5pt or 6pt

no offense dude but you should do a little more research on a part before making coments on it. by saying takatas are only good for bling is like saying mugen parts are only good for bling.... they do nothing for the car even though they are wind tunel tested.... come on now
