Takata Harness Mount
the only reason people call anything jdm bling, which makes you look like an idiot by the way, is because they can't afford it. and comparing anything else to Takata is laughable unless it is something like Willans, Takata's are used in F1, Super GT, Formula Nippon, Super Taikyu, D1 and basically every other car motorsports.
not to mention Takata makes countless OEM safety products for production cars, including seatbelts
It is pretty damn stupid to be cheap when it comes to safety products.
Takata Full harnesses aren't for people that want to look cool. It is pointless to have these harnesses if they are mounted improperly, and without a cage. But one thing I would like to ask if anyone knows, not just opinion. I have seen many best motoring videos where Tsuchiya or another driver would wear just one of the shoulder harnesses on a set of Takata belts, would this make roll over protection without a cage safer? and with OEM seatbelts what causes them to hold tension? Heavy Braking? an OEM seatbelt would hold you in place pretty well if it was tight, so it is hard to say that a harness is the cause of someone's death in a roll over.
So using something like a CG lock on the oem belt without a cage would be unsafe in a roll over?
It would take a serious and rare roll over to crush the roof in enough to kill someone but it could definitely happen without a cage.
and another question? why do people say the Cusco cage isn't funtional? it looks just as functional as many other cages I have seen.
