No rods!!! A good proper splitter does not need rods, they just make it look tacky!

Hi there
I am not sure if you have seen a picture of the CHIN splitter by itself but the one you see in the picture is just a CHIN splitter and not a full undertray or the track splitter I make. The splitter and the materials that I have used are definitely strong enough, however the reason I recommended dave and other members to use support rods is the fact that bumper itself is not strong enough to hold the splitter on high speeds and also it MIGHT cause sagging of the lip (specially if it is replica lip) over time. also many members have AP2 bumper on AP1 car without any of the OEM undertray and that further weakens the front bumper. here are some pics of the splitter designs
from left to right is Chin splitter, splitter+undertray and the track version

^ I have seen all of your products and admire what you are doing. So sorry for my blunt remark about being poorly designed. I understand your points on why you are recommending people use the support rods a little better now so thank you for posting. It is a shame though that people might need the rods because of shoddy parts and installation...which has nothing to do with your product but could end up getting related back to your splitter so I can understand why you would recommend people take precautions just in case. I still thing the rods are just a band aid though...
