It's slightly dirty Ev, how many miles? I dun't think it is worth 30k. If you can afford 30k, why not spend 50-60k or whatever the new ones are going for

I think this one is just not clean enough.

It depends on the state. The car has to be made smog legal, dot approved and around here inspected by a state police officer and then a "new car" title is written for the car. As of now tho due to the great business of Motorex the only true legal skylines in the US are the 96-98 R33.

If it doesn't have the VIN plate added on the left side of the windsheild, clean title, DOT GVW and inspection sticker in the left door jam then stay far away. Also, easy ways to tell is the speedo will be converted to MPH, and the car will have an aftermarket 3rd brake light added on to the trunk right below the wing. Some Motorex cars were kinda "half way" legalized and released, so you can find some without the mandated 3rd brake light with real VINs. (one of more then one violation Motorex was busted for.) That said, a completely Motorex legalized BNR32 is easily worth $30,000. If this is just some grey car someone back doored into the country then do yourself a favor and stay away. These cars, perticularly 32s and 33s prior to the block update can be very problematic. The engines have serious oiling and cooling issues as well. Of the several GT-Rs friends have owned not one has ever not lost atleast 1 engine. Most of of them 3+. I would say unless you are a glutten for punishment with lots of expendable income stay away from pre 97 GT-Rs unless you are going to keep it completely stock. That said, I have seen stock cars have issues first hand.
