lol thanks for lookin out for everybody but honestly crooks r gonna b crooks...if they want it badly enuff...they'll try their hardest to get it...ive known plenty of people who has gotten their car stolen and it aint no laughing matter...but usually...the people who steal ur car or stuff in ur car...is the people u kno personally...but least expect!!
Dang guys, never knew I would get flammed for trying to HELP out other S owners. Sorry that I see this type of stuff happen everyday, I was just trying to let the ones that DIDN'T know about it have a heads up. I'm no freakin computer nerd, in fact I just got my first computer, but the Laptop that sits in my patrol car outside can tell me a lot, and there is a lot of people that have access to those same files.
Mainly what I was saying is why not take simple precautions to protect youself? For those of you that have the attitude of "screw it that's what insurance is for" are idiots. People like you are what cause my insurance rates to be sky high. And the ones that "sleep better" cause they have guns, who doesn't? I agree that makes you sleep better, but they don't really help you when some punk kid is out there stealing your ride from your driveway. Why? Because like you said, you are asleep! Even if you wake up and see him, what are you gonna do, shoot him? Now you are on trial, it's just not worth it.
For the one that was actually concerned about VIN numbers, they give you the exact information as the plate. But it is illegal to cover up a VIN, it can get your car towed.
I agree that you drive around everyday and everybody sees your plate. I was just wanting to try to inform some of the people on here that might actually have concerns. If you don't really give a shit, then shut your mouth and let the ones that do read.

Don't worry, Mike. I wasn't trying to flame you in the slightest and I don't think the other guys were trying to do that either. I appreciate your effort to keep our cars safe and I don't disagree with your advice. You're right, if you're gonna post pictures of your car, you may as well black out the licesnse plate just to avoid any potential conflict

My duty weapon is a p226. I just picked up a p239 .40 last month for my off-duty. It's a nice little gun.
