Time Attack AP1 wheels

I believe it is rice and I'll explain to you why it is rice:
My definition of a ricer is basically a person who will spend whatever little amount of money he/she has on making it seem as though whatever car he/she owns (unfortunately, usually a Honda) looks faster than it really is.
You painted your rims the color of Time Attack wheels in order to make your S2000 standout, even though you've admitted that you do not have the money for a new set of rims. That alone sets you out on the verge of becoming a ricer. No offense to you, good sir, but the Honda S2000 in stock form already looks fast, so there is no point in ricing out the car to make others believe you own a faster car than you originally do.
I am certain you will later post that you were not attempting to make your car look faster and that you just wanted to make your car look better.. Umm... That is another form of "ricer".

The rims are going to be called "rice" by most because you are trying to imitate something that costs $$. IMHO powder coating them a solid color like black is the best thing you can do. Also it looks much better to rock modified AP2's that the AP1's.
And as mentioned before, the red stripe is getting player out, kinda like now how a chrome lip is played out....
PS - If you have to start your question out by saying, "Is this rice"... Chances are it is the inevitable.
My 02.
