They're both great shots, I think the second one looks a lot more intense because of all that cloud activity which adds more drama to the photo. Also, like you said, I think your friend has used more saturation, and also really highlighted your car's white color in his post-processing.

Overall, amazing photos, I love them both.

Not bad not bad... I like the tones in the first one better, the second one is a little overdone for my tastes. Honestly I think the shots could benefit from a better location and composition more then anything.
