Video: GTR vs. LP640
I for one agree with spec ops its like saying an srt4 is faster in a straight line or around the track than an s2000 (JUST USING AN EX. not real or anything) but what would you rather have
I don't care how fast that gtr can EVER be I will take the lambo hands down, not saying the gtr isn't a great car but come on it was mean't for performance but not to be an exotic or even close, the lambo has everything and isn't slow either.
When that GTR looks better than a lambo, has the interior of a lambo and that speed for 71k then lets talk but of course won't happen till then I don't even know why they compare the two, different categories

I had this one sales rep call me about one he had in stock and I said, "Before we go any further, how much do you want for it?"
His response was "$91,000."

with that, but not the interior part cuz it looks like an Audi and looks are subjective. But, I would much rather have the Lambo than a GTR because it delivers more than just speed and thrills.

If I'm spending my money on a car at this stage in my life, I would rather spend ~$85,000 (base GTR with mods) to have a nice GTR. To me, $360,000+ for a car that barely beats a GTR is a bad bet.
I agree, if money was no object and/or someone was giving them away, I too would take the LP640 over the GTR. If I had a choice to buy something else I would get this instead:
Since money is an object for me and many others right now, I think the GTR is special because it offers the best bang for our buck. Top Gear seems to agree with me and the times speak for themselves.
Top Gear's Power Board:
1. 1:17.1
i can see your view and of course balling on a budget as most since you can't get the lambo you would get the best thing in your price range, i still think i would rather get something different than the gtr even for the price range, it has speed but unless your a track junkie (and can afford the upkeep of the gtr if you track it which will be $$$)
you will almost NEVER come close to the potential the car has
Same reason why I bought the S over an EVO/STI they are faster and can be made faster for much cheaper and I could easily afford either, but unlike many on the board I'm not a track junkie and simply I enjoy the nimble sleek sexyiness of the car

^^^Agreed!! No shame in what you are driving. It just annoying when people use bs excuses like (your is faster but mine cost a fraction less). It really is ridiculous when people try to level them self up beyond to something/someone that is way out of their league. Kind of like some of us s2k owners who think the s2k is 8/10 of the NSX, but cost half the price, therefor it is a better and etc.... Well those 2/10 make all the different and something the s2k will never catch up to.
Like I said, there is nothing wrong with what you are driving(regardless), its just your attitude and point of view that make all the different.

I'll take one of these:

ugh does anyone understand anything. Theres nothing wrong with driving whatever the hell you want but I'm saying if you had a civic that could beat a ferrari in a race, at the end of the day your still just driving a civic while he gets to bring home a ferrari; you can't win no matter what.
It's sad that there are idiots in this world that would compare a fast boosted Civic to a Ferrari
