Video from my hardcore trackday.
That was some of the worst driving I've ever seen.
I know you guys are in "rally cars", but seriously... sometimes the fastest way around a track is to stay on the road. I would be terrified to be on track with that group of bumble####s.
At least now we know what happens when you put a bunch of AWD guys on a paved road course.

Don't let this video scare you from a track day. I think track days are safer than driving to work on hwy every morning!
I believe the Europeans seem to be more leninant on things like this. This would never fly in the States. And like ESCALVANTE said, no one wants to crash into each other. Esp. in the beginner's group.

This is why I dont track my car being its my DD and dumb asses running hard into the turns with no plan on turning or staying on the track.
notes to the OP:
first learn to be slow and smooth then start to speed up.
second take a map of the track and draw out the best line (straightest line thru S's and wide tight wide thru everything else)
next go walk the damn track look at the track levels in turn see if it is cambered, flat, or off Cambered!!! this plays a huge role in how to be fast in a turn and which line you should use.
third you are lost on any track if you cannot know where you were, where you are, and where you will be. If you do not know those three locations you cannot link turns together and will be slow as hell.
fourth your not racing other people on the track but rather time and the track itself.
Tracks are meant and designed to fool you into ****ing up and it takes due dilligence practice and a willingness to go slow in slow turns and fast in fast turns...
try linking your turns together, try learning the track, try not to drive like a dumb ass!!!!
you guys look like a bunch of novice 600cc first timers out there on the track!!! may God have mercy on everyone elses souls at that track because at the rate of stupidity I saw you and the others will kill someone soon.
not to be offensive but damn man its one thing to go fast but its another to be calculated and smooth. A slow smooth person will beat you all day with the driving you and the others showed on the track. and please dont just jump onto the track right after you go off please look and gradually merge back on the track God knows I dont want to come around a turn and there is some dumb ass sideways on the track in my racing line trying to get going fast again...
