So awesome!! It's such a shame the kits in the U.S. Are so expensive. The last time I looked you can't buy a rolling kit at the moment they're are about $40k. Although, there was a 70's cater ham chassis available locally for $1500...

They are fairly expensive but the price of "Seven" type cars varies a lot. Caterhams are hugely expensive and far outside my budget and this is one of the main reasons i went with the Westfield...........the other reason I chose the Westfield over the Caterham is that this Westfield is designed to use the S2000 drivetrain. Typically one can get a Westfield or Birkin (another quality Seven) for about 1/2 the cost of a Caterham.

FWIW Westfield will sell you a roller - it of course will cost more but it's ready to drop the S2000 stuff in and you'd be driving it in a few days.

If you can find a real Caterham chassis anywhere for $1500 you should buy it immediately (or tell me about it) and then flip it for 4 times that price.

Fun cars any way you cut it.

That's a great evolution on the Caterham. Surprised this hasn't been done before.

Really liking that body ... its got a retro kind of coolness to it. And I love how the engine looks installed in the car. Definitely well done. Lets see some GoPro videos of it in action!

They are all (caterham, Westfield, Birkin, Donkervoort) take offs on the legendary Lotus Seven so Colin Chapman and crew really deserve the credit for the concept. The original Seven weighted less than 1000 pounds and put out about 40 hp and could drop most anything on a curvy road during the mid 1960's. The cars have gained a lot of weight but are now much stiffer and much more powerful.

They really are incredible driving machines - completely impractical, rough, cold/hot/wet, but the handling and balance and feel are second to none.

Have I mentioned that they are fun to drive?
