I dont thinkso. The door is sitting behind it on top of the cabnit. It looks like it flips up.

ok i just found a picture of the delorean..... it's not the same.. however the doors are the same but the front end is differnt....

I can't post pics, but i can tell you it's not a 78 Corvette. I have one, and it doesn't look like that.
