Who's Got The Best Looking S2k?
4373-
Thank you.
Tony Swan of Car&Driver magazine agreed with your assessment (and even commented that the Project SS2000 was the best looking modified S2000 he had seen...) during the One Lap of America, as did many of the participants of SpeedTrial USA's Laguna weekend.
The beauty of the entire Mugen SS2200 aerodynamic package (especially when this particular kit was the very first one Mugen delivered) can only really be appreciated in real life. Memorex does it no justice, in my opinion, but as you briefly mentioned, it's the functionality of the kit that makes it really shine. And, as most industrial designers know, less is sometimes more...
Don't forget the small details, like the custom polished/clearcoated MF10s, custom brake ducting, complete softtop removal, the baffled oil pan (installed in November with the radiator), AND the factory engine that is still under AHM's warrantee.
Obviously some of those items don't count towards the show queen points, but the wheels certainly do!

Silverbullet,
Those wheels are RO_JA Motegi Formula 5 wheels. I've done a little research on them and that car. The wheels were designed by R. J. De Vera (also owns the car). That car was also used in "The Fast And The Furious" with a diffrent paint job. The body kit is from Veilside.
The wheels are a 2 piece welded wheel and can be built with proper offsets for the S2000. They 18x8 front and 18x9 rear. The car is lowered.
Cost on wheels about $2000.
