You did a very good job. It's definitely an alternative to buying badges.

That looks tight. Much better than Rick's badges.

Can you post some easy-to-follow directions? I'm not good at tinkering with things. Need more info on what you used for adhesive, the best way to measure the thing to get it on center, et cetera.

Well, here's what I did...

1) Wrap dental floss around your hands as if you're going to strangle someone, and stick it between your paint and the S2000 emblems. Then work it back and forth while pulling to one side. This will easily peel away the S2000 emblem without bending it.

2)Do the same thing with the Honda emblems in the front and back. However, there are also 2 prongs that go into these spacer holes in the trunk lid and the front bumber molding that you'll have to pull the emblems out of. On the rear one you'll actually have to take some needlenose pliars and pull out these little plastic prong holders that easily come out. You have to remove them because they stick out from the body too much and your S emblems won't fit well over them. There are holes where the front emblem was too, but no plastic spacers so you don't have to worry about it in the front.

3)Here's the most time consuming and annoying part. Get some type of adhesive remover like Goop Off or sumthin. I used bug and tar remover because I didn't feel like buying anything to do it. Well, let me tell you, it didn't work well. Basically you just have to use your thumb and a rag and rub like hell! The stuff didn't seem like it was gonna come off for me, but if you get some better remover solvent it will probably be easier. Put it this way, I rubbed the fricking end of my thumb off. I had a blister that didn't heal for like two weeks. It does come off though. Then use some wax or polish on the spot the emblems used to be.

4)Go buy some 3M adhesive at your local auto parts store or Wal-Mart. 3M adhesive is actually what you just rubbed off so it is the same stuff. Apply a little bit to the S emblems and then center the S emblems over the prong holes that were there for the H emblems. That's how you center them. As I said earlier in this post under the pics, you'll kind of have to angle the S embelms because if you try to stick it on as it was on the side of the car, the prong holes will show through a little bit because they're not fully covered. By anging the S's, the two curves of the S cover the holes completely.

And that's it. It looks like a lot, but really the only time consuming part is rubbing off the remaining adhesive that's left behind on the paint when you remove the emblems. If you didn't have to do that, then the whole process would take about 10 minutes. I'd say I wasted about an hour or so rubbing that damn stuff off. I should have taken a pic of my thumb blister to prove it.

jaded--why didn't you put the whole s2000 on the rear? w/ only the s, it looks a little naked in the back.

Well, kinda the whole point of taking the S2000 emblems off of the sides of the car was to make it hard for people to figure out what kind of car it is. I rarely run into people who know what it is just by the cars looks. So by taking the H emblems off as well as the S2000 emblems, it makes it even more difficult.

The lone S's on the front and back seem to just bewilder people and I think the plain S is kind of mysterious. I think the full S2000 emblem on the back and front would be too wide. It would look goofy.

I have to admit, the S looks better than I thought it would, too bad it has to go on crooked.
Here's a pic of a Rick's badge for comparison.

I certainly don't think my makeshift S emblems look better than Rick's emblems. There's just no way I could drop $100 on a non-functional item of that nature. That's just me though. Who know's, I may eat my words if I come into some cash that's burning a hole in my pocket.
