Drewchie with all the respect, even a full prepared race car deserves some respect and should not look like that p.o.s.
You can be a 5 times better driver than me, post your lap times ect. but the person wanted to see some wings (in order to buy one I guess), not home made picknick tables.

You call my car a p.o.s. and that's with respect? I'd hate to see what you consider disrespectful?
Besides... I didn't even post those first pics, someone else did. I just thought I'd comment on some of the uninformed flames like yours.
Yep, the first wing was butt-ugly, but very functional. The new wing is better looking, but that's not why we got it. IT WORKS BETTER!!! The HPM wing was designed by aerodynamic engineers and is made of the finest aircraft grade aluminum. From my research, there is no better wing available for the S2k.
Race cars with deep pocket sponsors (or mega-rich owners) may worry about asthetics. The rest of us have far more interest in performance rather than looks.
I did think the picnic table comment was pretty funny. (even though you clearly meant it as an insult) I'm guessing we could probably seat 8 around that thing at the next bbq.
The majority of American car owners seem to be neurotic about wings/spoilers on cars. I don't understand it and I don't agree with them, but it is what it is.
To drewchie -
(ps - 600 lbs? Wouldn't that bring it up to even heavier than a showroom stock car? I don't get it - HART already runs RSX's in the event, right?)

It sure would... they wanted us to get it over 3000lbs. (current weight 2380) For Honda Cup, we have to be over 2525 since we're now running an F22 (it's 2475 with an F20c) but that's including the driver.
They do allow the RSXs, but Acura is a Grand Am sponsor too.
American Honda has always maintained that they are a sales organization, not an enthusiast org. Conversely, Japanese Honda is very supportive of racing efforts, and there are lots of S2000s racing all over Japan.
Speed World Challenge agreed to let the S2k compete in the GT class (touring class has to have a back seat) but even with the allowed f/i, we don't stand a chance against the Vette's, Vipers, and Porsches on the big tracks.

C'mon man... you can talk a lot about how fast your car etc, etc but that car's wing is all about function. REAL track cars have 0 to do with looks and are all about function. Just looking at the design of the wing and you know its all about creating a lot of downforce. PLEASE, don't ruin this thread with a bunch of trashtalking... you said you don't like the wing, we all know where you're comming from (street cool/ racer guy) so let it end.
Thanks
Here's my Mugen SS
The wing provides some good downforce for spirited drives (yes I can tell the difference) but I would take Krazi's wing for a strictly track car.

Dude, I have mentioned to you before about being more respectful. This thread will die a quick death if this keeps up.
