they were parked on my driver's side, pulled straight in just as I was . . . so the damage is consistent with someone cutting the turn to early

I got the estimate today . . . $2900 in damage! And unless I can find who did it, my tax return will be going towards repairs instead of an OEM lip

. . . ****in bastards . . . need a new door, rear quarter panel, side panel, etc.
Your insurance should cover this under uninsured motorist, you shouldn't be paying anything but your deductible. I had someone hit my fender and run once and it all was covered under insurance.

yeah, my insurance covers everything but my deductible, and i'll get a rental for the time it's in the shop as well under insurance

but hopefully I'll hear back from this officer soon, and then we can approach this person and see if they're willing to admit to it and give me their insurance info so I don't have to even pay my deductible

Ditto. Ruthless stereotyping is required. So you find a nice, safe spot. Then some other jerkoff that fits one of the stereotypes parks right next to you.
no kidding. If i got anywhere, i check out every car that is near me... If its to crappy, to cheap, looks like its been hit already, then I wont park near it.

Somtimes if I go to a bar and have no choice but to park next to random cars, I will get the lisence number of the car next to me and put it in my phone for the night.. just so I know who to go after!

Look for those $60k Mercedes! Ill park next to them, becuase I know that they are doing the same damn thing.
