The car is cool for what it is, but I would not drive it. I never been a fan of the newer corollas (just my opinion). I would drive many of the older gen corollas that have been pictured though (always have like them, though I have never owned one).

This thread has a lot of dumb posts in it though ... I would have to agree with JDM_JOE and S2K Powered and the comments they have posted

"wrong wheel drive" - LOL .... You guys cant be that narrow minded (well I guess you can ). Their are plenty of FWD cars out there that can both outcorner and outrun S2K's (my 99SI would have spanked my S2K in the straights and put up a hell of a fight in the corners)

"Rice" - this has become the dumbest term in the industry - all it means is the person saying it doesn't like the car he/she is reffering to.

It is very "euro." Golfs/Jettas/MINIs are done this way alot. Looks pretty good, but the bike rack looks too out of place for me.

That is such a retarded comment

The car looks good, maybe you've missed the whole VIP scene, but MY guess is, is that he is trying to mimic those cars !

I like the car minus the rack and eye lids !

Wheels don't fit. Just because the car can still move (barely) doesn't mean the wheels fit.

See I love what this site has become. It saddens me to see this site becoming the next honda-tech. When I first came to this site people respected one another even if they had different taste.

When I said "if you don't like this car your not a true car enthusiast" I mean what that car represents. Yea you may not like how it looks. But someone who's luck ran short where they could not afford an S2000 or even a Newer civic ended up buying a corolla will find these pictures and want to mod theirs. Every car I ever owned even if it was by choice or not I looked to cars for inspiration. Sorry for the long post but if you actually read how these boards are going then you totally understand.

To each their own
I've completely agree with evertthign you've sed in this thread.

My input is some people really just like the same ole same ole, and are scared to try new things. I have also read alot of comments regarding stretch tires... these people must be living under a rock. The whole VIP scene is about dumped cars with stretch tires and running agressive offest. I see nothing rice about the car, its clean, cut and simple. i am seeing alot of haters on this board

My s2000 driving roommate sent me a link to this (I'm a bmw guy myself but am a "rice boy" at heart) and I registered to this forum just to be able to post that...

I think this Corolla is BADAZZ!!! (minus the stickers and headlight trim)

I noticed that quality in posts and intelligence seems to decline with lower resale value

i'm not sure why people put those "jdm" yellow and green chevron stickers on their cars here. my wife is true "jdm" and she says it's an embarassment having those on your cars in japan. here is what it is:

Officially called the Shoshinsha mark (shoshin untensha hyōshiki), new drivers must display the green leaf mark for one year after getting their license to warn other drivers that the driver is not very skilled.

they also have one for elderly drivers...maybe that will be the next hot jdm sticker here..
